My first summer sewing camp for kids started yesterday. I just love kids and for some reason they seem to love me too. So it was natural of me to combine the two in these little mini camps. Students get to come everyday for a few hours a day for 5 days and learn the art of sewing and fashion design. Sewing is a lost art and I aim to try to teach this dying art to as many young people as I can. I teach classes for kids starting as young as six years old if they are ready. Most kids that are into it really love it. Here is a photo of six year old “K” working diligently. She finished her very own pillowcase on the first day of class.

This funny arrived in my mailbox this morning:
My teenager was headed to school one morning when I told him that the neck tag on his shirt was hanging out. “I know,” he replied. “It’s a fad me and some of the guys started.”
Weeks later, as the style persisted, I commented, “I can’t stand it! Every time I see that, I want to fix it for you.” I gently tucked the tag in place and rumpled his hair.
“Yeah,” he said smiling slyly. “All the girls do too.”

Hello all,
Welcome to my new blog. I had one on blogspot, but never really did anything with it. So when my hosting company started offering free blog software on the host servers, I figured why not. Everyone else has one.
I am a homeschooling work at home mom and there is always something going on at my house. I can’t guarantee that it will all be interesting, but when you have three kids, homeschool, and run a business, it’s never dull!
Check back often to see what’s going on.
